DIY Succulent Planters
Come along with me as we turn these coconut shells into stunning planters!
I found these random coconut shells at an estate sale a while back. I knew I could turn them into something beautiful!
First I found some succulents to add to my shells. These came from Target in a 3 pack.
I cut the stems shorter with tin snips so I could fit them into the shells.
Then I began to arrange them in order of how I wanted them to fit inside.
Next I used some styrofoam balls and determined what size I would need to fit. I chose these 4" styrofoam balls. You could also use floral foam for this.
I then cut them in half using a craft knife.
I sized them to fit into my shells and hot glued them down.
Hold them down until the glue dries so they dont move around while placing your succulents.
Start placing your succulents into the foam.
After I got them all in there I took some of this spanish moss I bought from the Dollar Tree and began to hot glue it inbetween the succulents to hide the foam.
And there you have it! Some unique succulent planters! You could also use large pieces of bowl filler from potpourri or sea shells.
